hello. I got the supporter build and checked the "sneak peak" file and it has legendary godzilla in it for next version. Is this going to be the kotm one or the gvk one? Just curious. Thanks!

Thanks for the detailed reply!

So basically just pick the "set a different price for this file" option and a current buyer of said bonus file can download whenever. But if the file is gone and replaced with a new one (with a different price even if that helps), then they WILL have to buy the new one. Is it possible to verify this info from somewhere in the faq? Sounds important imo.

If This is the case, that's great, since this means i won't have to worry about emailing bonus files to buyers of the base game, separately.

Hi all,

As the thread title says. Do existing buyers have access to new bonus content files if they purchased a bonus file before?

For example, in the X-moon illustration, there is the main game and the soundtrack which is added as a bonus file if the buyer chooses to buy it. If the buyer purchases both, The buyer gets access to both. Let's say now that the seller removes the existing bonus soundtrack file and replaces it with a completely different file (some other asset maybe). Will the buyer be able to get the new bonus file without paying for it, or will they have to pay again? I assume the main game will still be accessible for free if say an updated exe was uploaded.

Couldn't find this info on the creator faq. Thanks in advance for answering!

Hi,

Just a minor issue. I've noticed GMEdit doesn't auto fill global variables once I change the global variable I was typing. For example, if I'm intending to type global.player_hp, it will show auto-fill options once I hit "global.p". However if I backspace and remove some characters off the syntax and try typing again, the auto-fill doesn't show up. This only happens with global variables, locals and normal ones work fine.

If this is a bug, would be great if it could be addressed. Thanks!

Firstly, thanks for this excellent tool! It complements GMLive very well.

Just wanted to ask in case I missed it, but is it possible to use snippets? If not, do you plan to add them?

Thanks.

Great job with the animation feature!

Sorry I missed this! lost internet for a bit. Thanks for pointing that link out. Look forward to seeing laigter grow.

Thanks!

Great to hear. Just wondering if there's any chance to make laigter compatible with Game Maker Studio 2?

Anyways, good job!

EDIT: Actually, I didn't realize that external keys may also include Other which act as custom keys.  Hope this helps in case anyone else wants to know in the future.

Hi,

I've gone through the faq section detailing the mechanics of download keys. I'd like to clarify something:

When keys (i.e. the download URLs) are generated, are they arranged in a list of x number of keys that creators can view? When a buyer purchases a game, is their email address associated with a unique key, which again, I as the creator can view? And after all keys are used, more are needed to be generated to add to the existing list of keys?

If so, are creators able to attach a unique label to each and every unique download URL key which the buyer would either receive or be able to see after they purchase the game (maybe in the email that gives them the download URL key)? The buyer guide explained that buyers could claim a Steam key, so I'm wondering if something similar exists for creator-made keys (nothing more than just a set of digits really).

Having the ability to attach unique labels to each unique download key, and provide such a label to the buyers could help in clamping down on unauthorized re-uploads of project files on other sites (though not prevent it) by identifying the individual responsible for the initial leak. This could work by implementing a key input and saving system in the project itself, which the developer could use to identify the source of the leak.

Would love to know if such a feature is in place. Note that this is NOT about DRM implementation (which I know itch does not provide). Thanks!
